How to choose crm software in Bangladesh
Where do your leads come from?
List your lead channels and roughly how many you get from each: Facebook page messages and lead forms, WhatsApp, phone calls, walk-ins, your website, marketplaces and referrals. The CRM should bring the important channels into one place automatically. If most of your leads come through Messenger or WhatsApp, ask to see that integration working, including how a conversation is linked to a contact.
Follow-up is where deals are won
Most of a CRM's value is in reminders and visibility. Check that salespeople can log a call or visit in a few taps, set the next follow-up date, and see their tasks for the day. The owner or sales manager should see the pipeline by stage and by salesperson, and which leads have not been contacted.
SMS, calls and messages
Bulk and transactional SMS through a local gateway, with your brand name as the sender, are common for reminders and offers. Ask which SMS providers the CRM works with and how much messages cost. If your team works mainly by phone, check call logging from the mobile app. Make sure customers can opt out of marketing messages.
Field sales and the mobile app
Distributors, real estate and B2B teams often sell in the field. Look for a mobile app that works on lower-cost Android phones, keeps working with weak data, and can record visits with location and photos. A Bangla interface can make adoption much easier for field staff.
Quotes, orders and getting paid
Some CRMs create quotations and invoices in taka and record payments, including bKash and Nagad transaction IDs. If you already use accounting software, check whether the two connect, so a won deal does not have to be typed twice.
Price, ownership of your data and support
CRM pricing is usually per user per month. Calculate the yearly cost for your whole team, including managers, and check what is limited on the cheaper plans, such as contacts, automations or integrations. Your customer list is one of your most valuable assets: confirm you can export contacts, deals and activity history at any time, and that access ends for staff who leave. Salespeople who move to a competitor should not be able to take your contacts with them.
- Import your current customer list from Excel
- Capture a test lead from Facebook or WhatsApp
- Log a call and schedule a follow-up on a phone
- Export all contacts and deals
Questions to ask on the demo
Ask the vendor to show the system with your own pipeline stages rather than a generic sales process. Useful questions include:
- How does a new Facebook or WhatsApp lead reach a salesperson, and how fast?
- What does a salesperson see first when they open the app in the morning?
- How are duplicate contacts detected and merged?
- Which reports show lost deals and the reasons they were lost?
Mistakes we see sales teams make
A CRM only works if the team uses it every day. Teams often add too many required fields, so salespeople stop updating records and go back to notebooks and personal WhatsApp. Start with a few stages and fields, make updating a deal take seconds on a phone, and review the pipeline together every week so the data stays honest.
